Annmarie Mica is a devoted down-to-earth psychotherapist who enjoys working together with children, adolescents, adults, and couples to help them live happier and more fulfilling lives. She uses a blend of Positive Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Relaxation techniques, Solution Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Play Therapy to help you overcome obstacles (big or small), improve mood, lower anxiety and stress, better live your day-to-day life when you feel sick, and guide you towards the life you want to live.
A new and proud resident of Maine, Dr. Mica recently transferred her outpatient practice here, where she holds an office in the Back Cove area of Portland and offers therapy outdoors in the greater Portland area. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from William James College in 2011, and has a decade of experience working with folks with a variety of concerns across different clinical settings.
An outdoor enthusiast herself, Dr. Mica is happy to encourage meeting outside for therapy, a great option for folks who prefer to be outside or who are open to the idea. Please check out her website for more info on therapy outdoors and feel free to ask her questions.
